Maxima Aquafun
Maxima Aquafun resort. One of the places I've been looking
forward to visit since then. We went there right after we savored the beauty of
the Hagimit falls, I think it was around 5-10 minutes habal habal ride from the
falls to get there.
Welcome To Maxima AquaFun! |
Maxima Aqua fun resort is of course located at Samal Island,
it’s one of the main attractions and a must see spot for every tourists and
adventure seekers, why? It’s because of the famed “Giant water slide”. Oh well,
what’s exciting about a water slide, it’s just a slide anyway. But wait! It’s
not just any ordinary slid, it’s
considered to be the largest and the longest here in the Philippines. Also, the
fact that you will be thrown out in the open sea at the end of the slide makes
it more exciting.

There are two giant slides at the park; The Super drop and
The Abyss; both are made up of canvass material, the super drop is about 40 meters long and a meter wide, I just don’t know the measurement of the later. If you’re worrying about bruises or scratches from friction produced during the slide then worry no more as there
will be water continuously flowing from the top to make it slippery. =) I’m not
sure though how deep the sea is. Haha! but I assure you, basing from its color,
it really is deep! For those who don’t know how to swim, again, worry no more
as everyone will be provided their own life vests that will fit your size
regardless if you know how to swim or not. It’s a protocol that everyone must
abide. Safety first before anything else. =)

One of my friends flushed out by the super drop! hahaha |
Apart from the giant slide, there are other water activities
you can do on the resort. (Scuba diving, Banana boat, jet ski, kayak, etc) The
time we went there was a dry season so there are only a few people visiting the
place. It’s a good thing for us since we don’t have to wait for a long time to
try the slide and other attractions, also we can take as many pictures as we
want. One more thing that caught our group’s attention was the diving platform.
From what I remember, it’s around 8ft or
higher from the sea. If you’re brave enough to jump then I recommend you doing
so for the experience and memories! Lolz!
It’s not that high compared to other diving platforms that I’ve tried before;
it definitely is worth a try.
I'm soooo afraid! lolz! =p |
Me at the diving platform =) |
My friend, jumped with poise! haha |
Before
I forget, there’s also an eagle view canopy walk at the park. During our time
there since there are only a few visitors, it was closed. Anyway, if you want
to take a good view of the whole park and experience walking above the trees
then you may want to consider trying this, you’ll definitely get a good view of
the whole area and the sea as well =)
MUST DO's!
- Water Slide
- Canopy Walk
- Dive!!!
- Swim, swim, swim!
